Conference Goals
The goals of this conference will center around the discussion on the future
of Global Health. Specific aims will be to address issues within the
Asia-Pacific Rim, and the effect of past problems such as the Asian Economic
Crisis on delivery of health care and medical education. As well, the future
of global philanthropy will be discussed and its impact on international
health. Aboriginal health and its issues will be revisited from the urban
and rural perspectives, and avenues to participating in aboriginal health
will be discussed. The Future of Global Health and the new paradigms of
thought into the 21st Century will be discussed, and the role of our future
leaders in shaping this changing world of global health will be looked at.
As always, networking and learning will be an emphasis. We hope to provide
opportunities for you to learn more about international health and different
methods of delivery. As well, we hope to find out where international health
is going, and to find new contacts, to increase your participation in
international health in the 21st Century.
