Dear Health Promoters,

I sent this message out earlier as a reply to an ealier message on
breastfeeding, which might have been confusing. The speaker need have no
connection to breastfeeding (unless it's part of a general discussion).

I am looking for someone who can speak to determinants of health from
personal experience with chronic, debilitating illness. Rheumatoid
arthritis is one example.

Last year I was able to bring out some of the issues of addictions as a
coping mechanism and would like to do something similar this year (not
necessarily addictions,
but some issue that might dramatize social determinants in a chronic
illness context. )

Is there anyone in the Toronto area who can speak from close personal or
clinical experience to a class of 130 very bright, engaged students?

The class is scheduled for November 26th from 2 to 4 pm.

Please get back to me if you have any leads (or other good ideas)

thanks

David
