CALL FOR PAPERS (Final call).

SPECIAL ISSUE OF "PROMOTION & EDUCATION" ON TRAINING

Following a series of lively debates on the topic at the International
Conference of the International Union on Health Promotion and Health
Education (IUHPE) in June 1998 in Puerto-Rico, it was decided to prepare a
special issue of Promotion & Education (P&E), the IUHPE journal, on the
theme of training/educating in Health Promotion and Health Education. The
special issue will be volume 7, #1 to be released in March 2000. A special
issue usually carries 6 papers, including at least one in French.

The purspose of this message is to invite interested people to submit an
abstract of a maximum of one page double spaced by January 1 1999 including
proposed title, authors, main argument of the paper, methodological details
(if relevant), main conclusions. As the readership is mostly composed of
health promotion/education practitionners, a variety of types of papers can
be submitted (in French or English), be they research papers, critical
reviews, position papers, case studies of interesting experiments, etc. A
peer review committee will assess the abstracts and the final decisions to
invite to submit full papers (or not to do so) will be sent to the authors
by February 1 1999.

Please note that the selection of a paper will be based on the abstract
submitted, not on the paper. Authors who are invited to submit a full paper
will receive precise guidelines in terms of lenght, style, format for
references, etc. The first draft of the full papers will be due by July 1
1999 and the final draft by January 1 2000.

If interested, please submit abstracts BY JANUARY 1 1999 to:
