        The Regional Municipality of Hamilton-Wentworth, is recruiting
health promotion staff for tobacco use prevention and substance abuse
prevention programming.

        A Tobacco Use Prevention Promoter is needed to plan, develop,
implement and evaluate tobacco use prevention programs.  Applicants with
a Master's Degree in Health Science, Health Promotion or related area;
sound knowledge of tobacco prevention, behaviour change theory, policy
analysis and development; with demonstrated competence in program
planning and evaluation, health promotion strategies, community
mobilization, and written verbal and mass media communication will be
preferred.  Candidates with a baccalaureate degree in health or applied
sciences with 2 years experience in health promotion, community
mobilization, program planning, implementation and evaluation and strong
research and analytical skills will also be considered.  Salary based on
$41,516.02 - $47,176.22 per annum and attractive benefits package.

        A Substance Prevention Promoter is needed to plan, develop,
implement and evaluate substance abuse prevention programs.  Applicants
with a Master's Degree in Health Science, Health Promotion or related
area; sound knowledge of substance abuse prevention, behaviour change
theory, policy analysis and development; with demonstrated competence in
program planning and evaluation, health promotion strategies, community
mobilization, and written verbal and mass media communication will be
preferred.  Candidates with a baccalaureate degree in health or applied
sciences with 2 years experience in health promotion, community
mobilization, program planning, implementation and evaluation and strong
research and analytical skills will also be considered.  Salary based on
$41,516.02 - $47,176.22 per annum and attractive benefits package.
