Hi Tricia,

You indicated that you have some resources from Health Canada. I was recently made aware of another framework, for small business, that was developed by Health Canada in 1999 called HealthWorks. You can obtain a copy by phoning 613 - 941-2366.

I would be interested in hearing what information you come up with in your search. We are in the process of developing a framework for Wellness Works. The framework could be used by both large and small businesses to assist them in developing a workplace health promotion program.

You may also be interested in attending the South Central West Workplace WorkGroup. The group is made up of representatives from various health units in southern Ontario. It provides a forum to share information, resources, and offers the potential for collaboration between health units.

Best of luck on your search.

Sincerely,

Richard Hesch

Hello there! I am working on a lit review of health promotion in
workplaces. I am especially interested in models that have been developed
for small businesses. I have the Health Canada model and wondered what else
people may be familiar with. In a 1997 Australian and New Zealand Journal
of Public Health article it mentions that "Queensland Health commenced a
pilot program in small businesses in 1995". Any information about this
specific pilot program and other actvities would be appreciated! Thanks.
