In regards to my earlier postings regarding the direction of public health in the Province of Ontario, Canada:
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

"Whereas the Toronto Mayor's Committee on Aging has reviewed the proposed draft guidelines for
Mandatory Health Pprograms and Services issued by the Chief Medical Officer of Ontario; and

Whereas there is a striking neglect of issues related to the health and well-being of seniors in the province
of Ontario; and

Whereas the previous version of the Mandatory Guidelines (1989) emphasized a range of issues relevant
to the health and well-being of seniors;

It is moved that the Chief Medical Officer integrate the issues related to seniors' health and well-being found
in the 1989 guidelines into the new proposed guidelines for public health in the Province of Ontario."

Moved, seconded, approved by the Health and Wellness Committee and send to the CMO.
