Memo to all: I promise never to send an attachment again. Thanks to Alison
for facilitating its transmission. For your information, the piece I sent
out called "In these times" was a modified form of an article I wrote for an
in-house publication at Ryerson....thus the reference to teaching. I believe
quite strongly that one of our responsiblities in the field is to train
students in their responsibilitiy to speak out on inequities and become
