Network Operations will be adding additional resources to the main
campus core router, kahuna.gw.
In addition, some procedures will be executed prior to the upgrade,
which may require several power up power down cycles. The maintenance
window from 00:00 to 06:00 Sunday December 8th will used to complete the
required work.
The following networks and their related services will be affected
during the router outage:

- petrie0.hub Petrie Science Building.
- telecom0.hub Telecommunications 016 Steacie.
- All access to and from the Internet.
- All remote Centrex and ISDN sites (Fac. of Edu, YCT, Executive
Developement).
- lumbers0.hub Lumbers Building.
- atkinsontwrII0.hub Atkinson Building.
- ccis0.hub Computing and Communications Services, Steacie Science
Library.
- ccsvms0.hub Steacie Science Library.
- All access to and from Glendon College.
- scottpub0.hub pulic network access in Scott Library.
- scott0.swx Scott Library trusted access.
- eob0.swx East Office Building trusted access.
- Access to and from all services on the central services FDDI/Switched
Ethernet/Shared Ethernet machine room subnet. The internal ring itself
will not be affected.
