Duty Station: Washington, D.C.; Tenure: Two years, first
year probationary; Division/Program/Office: Office of
Administration (AM) Department of Budget and Finance
(ABF)
Salary Information: Basic Salary: $35,598 at single
rate; Post Adjustment: $5,874 at single rate
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: A bachelor's degree
from a recognized university in finance, accounting,
computer science, information systems or a field related
to systems analysis and/or software development.
Experience: Five years experience in systems analysis or
financial analysis work, preferably with mainframe-based
financial systems, including direct experience in
troubleshooting user problems and providing user
support.
Languages: Very good knowledge of English. A working
knowledge of Spanish would be an asset.

New Website: "Aging and Health"

The United Nations has declared 1999 "International Year
of Older Persons" and World Health Day has been
celebrated on April 7 this year with the theme "Active
Aging Makes a Difference". In commemoration of this
important date PAHO is pleased to announce the launching
of a new Website "Aging and Health", which provides
information on this issue. The Webpage focuses on
developing the infrastructure and capability within the
countries to address the needs of older persons and
their families.
