Greetings all and apologies for cross-postings!

The Centre for Health Promotion Studies at the University of Alberta,
Canada, is proud to annouce the launching of a new internet resource! On
our interactive website you will find:

1)Information on our MSc and Postgraduate Diploma graduate programs in
Health Promotion. Now in their third year, these programs offer an
education in a variety of areas in health promotion to an interdisciplinary
audience. Students may enroll in courses on campus or through a
computer-mediated distance learning option.

2)Information useful to professionals engaged in health promotion research
and practice. In particular, "The HP Network" contains a forum for
asynchronous debate on current issues in HP research, theory, and practice
as well as a listing
of health promotion sites around the world. The aim of the network is
to encourage communication among academic institutions and practicing agencies
in order to facilitate the internationalization of common health promotion
objectives and to further the movement toward evidence-based decision-making
in research.

3) A summary list of the research projects our faculty are undertaking in
the 5 action areas of health promotion designated by the Ottawa Charter.

4) Current and archived issues of a newsletter published by the CHPS that
explores the links between health promotion research and practice available
in printable html and pdf formats.

5) Online presentations of research symposia series available in Realaudio.

6) Loads of other useful information for both students and professionals!
