Hi everyone,

I had previously sent the message below and now am looking for
critical resources such as websites, books, articles, pamphlets,
community groups, health centres, etc. where consumers and health
intermediaries can find information on culture and health needs. If
you have any information, I would greatly appreciate it.

Regards,
Neera

I am working as coordinator for the Canadian Health Network
Frequently Asked Questions Project which has been granted to the Nova
Scotia Council on Multicultural Health.

The objective of the project is to develop ten frequently asked
questions and corresponding answers on Health and Culture to be
mounted on the Canadian Health Network, and to provide information
about key resources in the area of Health and Culture.

Health information will be contributed by federal, provincial, and
territorial governments, non-governmental organizations,
universities, community-based and private sector organizations. The
CHN health information service will be Internet based, with email and
fax back capabilities and will also include other modes of access ( a
1-888 call centre and interactive voice response for particular
client groups).

I would greatly appreciate it if you could identify ten questions
(in areas such as: mental health, family, employment, housing,
culturally and linguistically appropriate services, etc.) which you
feel are important regarding Health and Culture.

(Some examples include:
What are the cultural norms in Canada?
How do I find culturally relevant groups and services?)
