HPiC WEBSITE NEWS

28th June 1999  -  Issue  23

HPiC Website News aims to keep readers up to date with recently launched
internet websites in the field of health promotion. The newsletter contains
health information and campaign sites, sites of relevant organisations, and
sites which are recommended as good examples of design for the internet.


Community Health

The QUICK web site is a resource to help young people evaluate the
information they find on the Internet.
It is aimed at children at Key Stages 2 and 3, and uses imaginary examples,
quizzes and puzzles to explore concepts around information quality. Many of
the examples are health related, but the concepts can be used with any
subjects that require information skills. The website is designed for use as
a teaching aid in an educational setting.
