> REQUIREMENTS

> You are excited about the opportunity to nurture the development of the
> Health Promotion Resource Centre System and you have the following:

> * Strong understanding of community health promotion organizations and
> activities in Ontario, as well as organizational development
> * Strong communication skills including: group work and facilitation, oral
> and written presentations, and effective presentations to government,
> public groups, and/or boards of directors
> * Demonstrated experience with online facilitation in electronic
> conferences or list-servs, use of Intranets, and with electronic
> communication and its capacity to support collaborative work
> * Demonstrated ability to work independently, and as part of a team with
> multiple accountabilities
> * Experience in handling emerging issues with diplomacy & confidentiality
> * University degree in health promotion, social sciences or related field
> * Three (3) years relevant work experience (or equivalent combination of
> education and experience).
> * Ability to work in both official languages is an asset

> RESPONSIBILITIES

> * Develops collaborative working arrangements among the participating
> organizations; and facilitates their use of the Livelink Intranet for
> communication and production
> * Creates strategies for supporting resource system development and
> building the program exponentially.
> * Ensures and supports face-to-face and online communication among 10

> listing of these centres
> * Provide guidance and appropriate resources to support collaborative work
> using the Livelink Intranet, including orientation, basic training and
> support to access and effectively use the Intranet
> * Liaise with funding body (Ontario Ministry of Health) and resource
> system to organize priorities
> * Ensure a process for the development of common workplans and reporting
> mechanisms
> * Identify ways to engage and energize resource centre partners
> * Works with information system team, the Livelink Intranet system
> administrator, third-party vendors and business partners to leverage
> external community efforts.
> * Provides relevant feedback from community programs to the OHPRS Team.
> * Acts as online moderator for discussions and content development on the
> Intranet.
> * Develops rules and guidelines for user participation.
> * Some travel and on-site consultation, support and training will be
> required.
