HPiC WEBSITE NEWS

16th August 1999  -  Issue  24

HPiC Website News aims to keep readers up to date with recently launched
internet websites in the field of health promotion. The newsletter contains
health information and campaign sites, sites of relevant organisations, and
sites which are recommended as good examples of design for the internet.


Environment

The Kerbcraft road safety scheme was developed and evaluated by Strathclyde
University, and is based on a road safety education scheme originally run in
Drumchapel, a peripheral housing estate in Glasgow.
The scheme aims to teach three pedestrian skills to 5-6 year old children
over a 12-18 month period (depending on starting dates), and this website
provides the resources to run the scheme.
