The newsgroup york.announce is now being gatewayed to a mailing list.
This is a read-only mailing list intended for people who wish to keep
up to date with announcements made to york.announce but prefer to use
mail for this purpose.
 
The mailing list is called york-announce-l and is available at York's
listserv.  To subscribe send a message to [log in to unmask] with the
following line in the body of the mail message:
 
subscribe york-announce-l <your name>
 
e.g. subscribe york-announce-l John Doe
