The Canadian Health Economics Research Association/Association Canadienne
pour la Recherche en Economie de la Santé is pleased to announce its
biennial conference:

FORWARD TO BASICS: ENHANCING EFFICIENCY WHILE PRESERVING EQUITY

August 21-23, 1997
Carleton University
Ottawa, Ontario
CANADA

Judging from the submitted abstracts there will be an array of concurrent
research sessions highlighting recent Canadian health research.  This
conference will also feature the inaugural Justice Emmett M. Hall
Lectureship, and will include sessions on:

- Assessing the National Forum on Health
- Funding health research in Canada
- The future of Canadian health care

The association is pleased to announce that over 70 abstracts from across
Canada and abroad have been submitted for review.  Submitting authors should
receive status information in April and full conference information will be
available in May.
