Effective October 1, 1997, the high speed modem charge of $10.00 per
month for undergraduate students will cover access for up to 40 hours.
There will be a charge of $0.50 per hour, or for any portion thereof,
for access beyond the 40 hours. This change in practice is to ensure
fair and equitable use of this shared resource. This change applies to
old and new accounts.
To find out how long you have been connected to the modem pool, telnet
to "tacserve4.ccs.yorku.ca" (don't type the quotes) and enter your modem
pool userid and your password. You will then see account and usage
information similar to the following:

Account creation date: Mon Apr 29 03:12:26 1996
Last login date: Wed Sep 24 07:18:40 1997
Last password change: never
High-speed Modem Pool Usage
Usage last month (8): 26 hrs, 27 mins.
Usage so far this month (9): 16 hrs, 23 mins.
The usage time does not include the time you have used during the
current connection, which cannot be calculated until you disconnect.
