this was one of the rare activities where we did not have extensive
involvement with the local health unit.  In the MotherCare (prenatal
nutrition program in Simcoe County) initiative there was, and continues to
be involvement and support from the health unit.  the other initiatives
included partnerships with the local coalition for social justice, the
labour council, and other concerned community members.  we also called on
support from L.I.F.T. and the Toronto food bank to help with a forum to help
promote community awareness .
