Chers collegues,

The Groupe de recherche et d'intervention en promotion de la santé de
l'université Laval (GRIPSUL) in Quebec City et le Centre Ontarien
d'information en prévention (Tjhe French componenent of the Ontario
prevention clearinghouse, in Toronto) have received a joint grant to begin
to network among francophones (primarily inside but also eventually outside
Canada) on issues of training in health promotion in French. Training
refers here mostly to on the job training of public health and other
related personnel but also to basic training as well as to resources and
tools that can be offered or even created to help practitionners (in
agencies or community groups) to actualize their practices and do their job
better.

The purpose of this request, sent in English to enlarge our possibility of
getting information as widely as possible (les francophones nous
pardonneront cette incartade...) is to ask you to point to us whatever you
think relevant in terms of francophone training programs, tools, or people
that you think we should get in touch with. You can e-mail either to me or
my colleagues Paule Simard ([log in to unmask]) or Francine Deroche
([log in to unmask]) with any kind of info you think relevant or get in
touch with us by fax, phone or otherwise (see info below). If some of you
are interested in joining a working group we are creating on this topic (en
françis, bien entendu), please tell us; we will have to keep a balance
between regions, gendre, size etc. but knowing your interest will help us
to constitute the group.

Un gros merci, et désolé si vous recevez ce messsage de plusieurs sources.

Une tres bonne journee.

Michel O'Neill, Ph.D.
