Bonjour !

A series of three documents prepared for Health Canada by NHN Consulting
Group on "New Information Technologies and Health Promotion" has been
released a few weeks ago. The first document, available en français and in
English, is a very interesting overview (in my view at least) of the main
issues confronting health promoters with regards to NIT; it includes
several recommendations to Health Canada and others. The two others,
available en anglais seulement, are titled "Health Promotion on the
Internet: surfing and searching for the potential of the world wide web"
et "Health Promotion and New Information Technologies Internet Tools for
On-Line Health Promoters". The whole kit is available ( hard copies only,
it seems; no hint if there are electronic versions posted somewhere on
Health Canada web sites) from:

Division du développement de la promotion de la santé
Direction de la recherche et des politiques de programmes
Direction générale de la promotion et des programmes de santé
Pièce 473, Édifice Jeanne Mance,
Localisateur posatal: 1904 A2
Santé Canada, Ottawa, Ont., Canada, K1A 1B4

(This is what used to be the shop of Tariq Bhatti, Nancy Hamilton et John
Horvath; hopefully there is still someone to answer such requests in the
reshuffling of people and organizational boxes Health Canada is undergoing
one more time).

I would be curious to hear if others have read these documents and what
they think about them.

Une tres bonne journee.

Michel O'Neill, Ph.D.
