In response to the query about keeping banks in low income communities, I
would recommend getting in touch with Jim Green in Vancouver. He has been
working on this issue or a closely related one (getting banks to service
with loans, mortgages etc) low income neighbourhood in particular the
downtown lower east end of Vancouver. I don't have a phone number,
address or e-mail for him however I believe Sharon Martin or Nanci Kotani
might be able to help - I believe you know both of these people. Perhaps
someone else on Click4 can help here?
