Congratulations to Dennis, The School of Health Policy and Management at York
University and his colleageus who have prepared "The Toronto Charter for a
Healthy Canada."
This "population health" policy document reinforces the considerable evidence
which we have had for almost 100 years related to the social determinants of
health.
This "population health" macro policy document should also assist with the
difficult task of developing integrated "intervention" health models at the
micro and meso levels. The Charter will be added to the Heart Health Forum
readings. If you have not registered for the Forum, Feb. 20
(http://www.yorku.ca/wellness/heartforum/forumreadings). There is still time
to take part in the first bi-annual Heart Health Forum. The next one is
scheduled for 2005!
