HELP FOR HOLIDAY STRESS

Tips available on the American Psychological Association
Consumer Help Center Web site

For those looking for a little advice on how to survive the holidays check
out "Coping With Holiday Stress", the American Psychological Association's
(APA) holiday stress "Q & A" that is featured this month on their HelpCenter
website:

<http://helping.apa.org/family/holiday.html>

Stress is as much a part of the holidays as parties, decorations and gifts.
In addition to the seasonal stress, people who are coping with serious
illness often face unique problems during the holidays. While APA's fact
sheet, "Coping with Holiday Stress" addresses some
of the common causes of holiday stress, it also touches on how a person can
deal with the holidays when he or she is chronically sick.

Visit <http://helping.apa.org/family/holiday.html> before the final holiday
rush for tips and resources.

And check back with the APA HelpCenter throughout the year at
<http://helping.apa.org> for resources on managing day-to-day problems,
stress and serious illnesses such as cancer.
