CONFERENCE ANNOUNCEMENT

McGill University's Osler Medical Aid Foundation is proud to annouce
"EMERGING ILLNESS, EMERGING STATES" - a conference on international
health. The conference will address the interdependencies of disease and
society. Presentations and workshops will discuss the effects of ecological,
social,and political change on the rise of disease and in turn the impact of
disease on the social landscape.  The conference will take place at McGill
University's Faculty of Medicine on 28 & 29 April, 2000, in time to enjoy
Montreal in the spring.  The conference should be of interest to
professionals and students in medicine, public health, and the social
sciences. Registration costs before 8 April, 2000 are 30$ (20$ for
students).
