Dear Friends,

As of this morning, the Rural-Care Electronic Conference of InterPsych
is online and ready to go. There are still a few blips in the
documentation and the archives are not fully operational as yet, but
the conferencing aspects of the listserv seem to be fully functional.
I would both invite and urge you to join the conference and help us
generate some interest in the world. This is an opportunity for the
Rural/Bush world to be present.

The Rural-Care conference is devoted to support for rural and bush
health care workers. It focuses on issues of service delivery and
self-care for isolated health care workers. Discussions may include such
things as applications of new medical and mental health care techniques,
telemedicine, cultural challenges, and issues of isolation.

I have been contacted by several major professional organizations
asking for information about our project. This is encouraging. If we
can get this list active, perhaps we can educate some people to the
unique aspects of our process in the less populated parts of the world.

Warm Regards,

Beth
