Les ateliers ALEA sont organises par un groupe d’universitaire de
differents pays Latino-americains et Europeens et de professionnels
oeuvrant au sein d’agences de sante internationales, et s’inspire de
l’experience du Cours Europeen d’Epidemiologie Tropicale.

Lieu et cout:  L’atelier se deroulera a la colonie de vacances de
l’union des medecins de l’Uruguay a Solis, Uruguay.   Le cout pour
les inscriptions avant le 30 juin est de US$ 850, et pour les
inscriptions tardives de US$ 950.  Le cout inclut le logement et la
nourriture du 4 au 17 aout  inclusivement, ainsi que les frais de
materiels encourus durant l’atelier.

International Association of Homes and Services for the Ageing;
Second International Conference on Care and Housing for the
Ageing

The IAHSA will hold its Second International Conference on Care and
Housing for the Ageing in June 1997 in Barcelona, Spain. The IAHSA
invites you to submit a proposal for an educational session during
the conference.

Proposals are requested to address specific subjects including:
Housing the Aged Population; Perspectives on Home Care and
Community-Based Services, and Delivery Models in Health and Nursing
Home Care.

The deadline for the application and proposal is July 31, 1996.

National Conference on Nursing Administration Our Heritage as
Leaders

Management Training Courses for Health and Family Planning

The Family Planning Management Development project helps national
and local family planning programs and organizations to plan and
manage sustainable family planning programs. During 1996, in
addition to their courses in Boston, Massachusetts, FPMD will be
offering the following courses in English at regional sites:
Financing Options and Cost Control, in the Philippines; Conducting
Successful Training Programs, in Pretoria, South Africa; and
Managing Successful Training Programs, in Cairo, Egypt.

World Federation of Public Health Associations: 8th International
Congress Health in Transition: Opportunities and Challenges

The World Federation of Public Health Associations will be holding
its 8th International Congress in Arusha, Tanzania, from 12-16
October 1997. The congress is co-sponsored by WHO and UNICEF.
Participation is open to all, including members from the NGO
community, international organizations, government, and academia.
