The Tropical Institute of Community Health and Development, Great Lakes University of Kisumu is pleased to announce:

The Annual International Research Internship for Health Systems Researchers

The participants work under the mentor-ship of local and international facilitators.

At the end of the workshop, the participants will:
*    Acquire knowledge and skills in health systems research
*    Examine multiple intervention programs design and evaluation issues in health systems
*    Acquire knowledge and skills essential for competitive grantsmanship
*    Acquire knowledge and skills in Networking and partnerships with local, national, and international decision-makers
*    Familiarize with innovative and current research approaches in health
*    Develop a complete research proposal, programs of research and/or scientific manuscript and paper during the work in progress sessions.
*    Attend the three day International conference organized by the Great Lakes University of Kisumu  with chances of presenting a conference paper

ELIGIBILITY:
Graduate-prepared (minimum completed masters' degree) in health sciences, public health, community health, epidemiology, or other related disciplines
Focus on Health systems or community health research
Interest in international collaboration
Committed to long-term research engagement and providing tangible benefits to home institution/country

APPLICATION DEADLINE:
March 15th, 2016

PROGRAM DATES for 2016:
April 27th - May 22nd 2016

PROGRAM FEE
Applicants from within Kisumu: Ksh 60,000 (Includes: lunch, refreshments, all sessions, course materials, and distance education)
Local applicants from outside Kisumu (Full Package): Ks h . 1 2 0 , 0 00 (Includes: accommodation, lunch, dinner, refreshments, airport shuttle, all sessions, course materials and distance education) Other International Countries (Full Package): USD 2 800 (Includes: accommodation, lunch, dinner, refreshments, airport shuttle, all sessions, course materials and distance education)

PLEASE NOTE:
Travel costs (flights and personal travel) are not included in the program fee
Weekend catering (lunch & dinner) are not included in the program fee
