Managed Health Care in Canada 1996 is the premier conference to
address how the successful strategies of a managed care approach
can be applied to the Canadian health care delivery system.

Managed Care coordinates, disciplines and integrates the roles of
practitioner, provider and payor in a patient-focused health care
delivery system.  The conference combines plenary sessions with
breakout workshops for speciality areas.  A full range of managed
care initiatives will be covered.

Plenary sessions with keynote speakers will address how the managed
care approach can be implemented in a single payor environment.
Breakout workshops will focus on the implications for policy
makers, administrators, practitioners and informatics
professionals.

In conjunction with the daily sessions, an exhibit hall will
display an array of vendor offerings which represents the state-of-
the art in health care products and services.

SIETAR Congress '96: Meeting the Intercultural Challenge
Gasteig Cultural Centre, Munich, Germany, May 28 - June 2, 1996

The varied format of the Congress includes workshops, plenaries,
concurrent sessions, roundtables, symposia, poster sessions, and
experiential sessions involving games, simulations, drama, and art.
Presenters are experienced interculturalists conducting research
and working in business, training, the social sciences, education,
and multicultural communities.

The working language of the Congress in English.  Many languages
will be spoken at the Congress, and some presentations will be made
in German, Spanish and French.  Interpretation will not be provided
for presentations.

Canadian Public Health Association 87th Annual Conference

The current restructuring of health services in Canada creates an
opportunity for us to focus on what really "counts"...The
Conference Goal is to examine health promotion today in relation to
the determinants of health, health reform, and the marked shifts
occurring in federal and provincial health and social policy.

Post-Conference Event

HIV Prevention Works - a satellite symposium of the XI
International Conference on AIDS will be held on Saturday, July
6th.  This one-day symposium will feature international best
practice in HIV/AIDS prevention, including models of successful
prevention programs and policies.  Simultaneous interpretation in
English, French and Spanish will be available for the opening and
summary sessions.
