16th International Congress of Nutrition, Montreal July 27-August 1,
1997

The International Union of Nutritional Sciences will host the 16th
International Congress of Nutrition in Montreal, Canada July 27 to
August 1, 1997. "From Nutrition Science to Nutrition Practice for
Better
Global Health" will be the theme of the event, which attracts several
thousand nutrition scientists, practitioners and educators from around
the
world every four years.

The 16th International Congress is being sponsored by the National
Research
Council of Canada, the Canadian Society for Nutritional Sciences, the
Canadian
Dietetic Association, Agricultural Institute of Canada and the
Canadian
Institute of Food Science and Technology.

Hardship/Mobility:  US $2,030 at single rate, US $2,706 with

Minimum Requirements:
Education:  University degree in one of the health sciences with a
master’s
degree in public health, health services administration, or a field
related
to public health.
Experience:  At national level:  Seven years of experience in
activities
related to public health, policy development, research and situation
analysis, monitoring of health services systems, information systems,
training, and/or research.
At international level:  Two years of experience in technical
cooperation
activities in the areas of health planning, human resources
development,
policy, and research.
Languages: Very good knowledge of Spanish with a working knowledge of
English.
