WHO - Uppsala University Meeting of CBR Educators and Trainers
Sweden, June 12-17, 1995
----------------------------------------------------------------
In June, an international meeting related to education and training
issues in CBR was held at the University of Uppsala, Sweden.
Approximately 30 persons attended the sessions, which focused on
curriculum issues, human resource development, training programs
and evaluation.

Contacts for future collaboration were made with many participants,
including Dr. Enrico Pupulin, Head, Rehabilitation Unit. WHO, who
sponsored the event. An important point raised at the meeting was
the need for separate approaches in training managers and front-
line workers. The role of university based education was also
discussed. A second meeting may be held in the future and is to be
located in a developing country.
