Cairo Consensus Guide up on Web
-------------------------------
Greetings and apologies for any cross-postings!
"A Guide to Research Findings on the Cairo Consensus", a tool for
locating some of the many materials published since 1994 on the
major issues outlined in the ICPD Programme of Action, is now
available at:

http://www.fhi.org/en/fp/fpother/caicons/index.html

The guide includes summaries of 180 research studies,
reports and
factsheets on:
 - adolescents;
 - aging;
 - migration;
 - mobilizing public and private resources;
 - population, environment and sustainable development;
 - reproductive health/family planning;
 - reproductive health in emergency situations;
 - reproductive rights/human rights; and
 - the role of the private sector.

 The 68-page guide was developed by the Task Force on Communicating
Research Findings, an effort on the part of the U.S. NGOs in Support
of the Cairo Consensus, and published by the Population Reference
Bureau
and the Population Council. Nearly 50 organisations submitted
summaries of materials they produced; all of the materials listed
are available upon request to the contributing organisations. The
Population Refer-
ence Bureau (http://www.prb.org) and the Population Council

http://www.popcouncil.org) have also posted the guide on their Web
sites, and CEDPA (http://www.cedpa.org) will be posting the guide on
their Web site in the near future.
