i have been joyfully reading the mail from this listserve for several weeks
now, and have been too busy to introduce myself - but then i'm sure you all
know what that's like. the postings on the list have been a great source
of inspiration to me in my work and studies. it's extremely comforting to
know that there are so many others out there with similar problems,
interests, and solutions to problems we all face.

i am a staff member at the national center for health fitness and phd
student at american university in washington dc. my phd studies are
combining education, health, and the integration of new technologies into
health promotion.

my work is in developing, designing, and implementing health promotion
programs. as of late, most of my program has been working with new and
underserved populations; urban youth, native americans and international
health promotion. i also am involved with various aspects of our masters of
science in health fitness management. in all of our programming and
education, i try to look at the potential for implementing new
technologies.

i am learning in leaps and bounds daily; but each day know that i was very
ignorant the day before. i relish the opportunity to share and learn from
and with you. if you come across areas and resources that you can share
with me, i would appreciate your sending them my way. i will recriprocate.
