Hi everyone:

I want to take the opportunity to make you aware of the International
Institute for Health Promotion (IIHP) at American University in Washington
D.C. I have followed this list for some time now and there have been many
interesting requests and info flashes. Health promotion professionals in
different countries often have similar concerns and issues and therefore
strive to share their experiences and expertise (as on this list) which was
one of the reasons why the IIHP was established. I encourage you to take a
look at the IIHP website (http://www.healthy.american.edu/iihp.html)
although the site is not updated with all the latest developments (e.g.
some international projects) as changes occur almost daily. Please send me
a message if you have any further questions or comments.

The IIHP network is constantly growing. In particular, I would be
interested in hearing from some of the Canadian health promotion
institutions as we have contacted several but not really established a
solid link yet. This is an exciting time as many countries are regarding
health promotion as a priority and seek global cooperation.

Thank you.
Wolf Kirsten
