Health Communities... By Design Showcase, Conference and Festival
------------------------------------------------------------------
The Healthy Communities... By Design project includes a poster
showcase, international conference and festival, to be held in
Toronto, Canada, from October 20 - 24, 1997. One of the key
strategies for creating healthier communities is to design
environments that are supportive of health. In preparation for
these activities, Design Exchange is gathering ideas that show how
thoughtful design contributes to healthy communities. They are
looking for recently completed projects, works in progress or
proposed initiatives and ideas that show innovative ways in which
people have made their environment healthier. The project must
reflect healthy community initiatives in the following categories:
home, neighborhood, institution/workplace, municipality and region.
Deadline for entries is January 1, 1997. Entry fees applicable.
