[This will be of interest to those in Ontario who wish to
gain an intensive introduction to, or advanced training in
"Health Promotion" as "enabling individuals and communities
to increase control over and thereby improve their health."]

The Centre for Health Promotion of the University of
Toronto, a W.H.O. Collaborating Centre, is sponsoring its
third annual Health Promotion Summer School.

It takes place June 3 to June 7 at Ryerson Polytechnic
University in Toronto. Tuition is $325.00 and includes an
extensive participant resource package.

There are two main streams available: One is an introductory
stream; the other is an advanced stream for those already
familiar with health promotion principles and concepts.

It is ESPECIALLY recommended for those who are not familiar
with recent developments in the field, who may have a
somewhat limited "lifestyle approach", or wish to gain an
intensive introduction to this newly emerging
multidisciplinary field.

It will also be of intense interest to those already working
in the field, who wish to gain insights into emerging
concepts, and wish to extend their thinking and practice.

For further information, application forms, or to register,
phone 416-595-6020.
