Reminder: Toronto memorial service for Barbara Ronson McNichol
(Wednesday March 29th)

This is a follow up to the posting of the Barbara Ronson McMichol
remembrance yesterday by Irving Rootman. Many in Toronto will remember
Barbara Ronson McNichol for her work in the decade of the 1990s with the
University of Toronto Centre for Health Promotion. This posting is a
reminder of the Toronto memorial service to be held for her tomorrow
(Wednesday, March 29th).

*/It will be held at 11: a.m. in the Metropolitan United Church, 56
    Queen Street East, Toronto. /*
*/There is a reception to immediately follow the service. A burial
will be held at a later date. /*

The following information, from Barbara's daughter Jacqueline, has been
provided by Irving Rootman, former director of the UofT Centre for
Health Promotion and a friend of Barbara’s.
Irving can be reached at: < [log in to unmask] <mailto:[log in to unmask]>>

Barbara McNichol devoted the last years of her life to supporting
children through Camp Eagle Nest and protecting the trees on her
husband’s ancestral lands near Benny, Ontario. The camp’s board of
directors, led by daughter Jacqueline Ronson, would like to preserve
this legacy. The camp board is accepting donations in Barbara’s memory
and will use donations with guidance from Clyde McNichol to support
activities or organizations that align with Barbara’s most deeply held
values. Barbara’s daughters would also like to make sure that Clyde is
supported at this very difficult time. He was the centre of Barbara's
world. They loved each other deeply and always gave away more than they
had.

YouCaring fundraisers have been set up for both causes
