JOB POSTING


Position:       Project Coordinator
Location:       Best Start Resource Centre, Toronto

4 days per week (six-month contract)

The project coordinator will oversee the research and development phase of a
comprehensive, practical resource on healthy child development for parents.
Building upon existing material, this resource will ensure that consistent,
reliable information on all aspects of physical, emotional and social child
development is available to parents across Ontario.

Working closely with the Best Start Manager and our publishing partner,
Family Communications, the project coordinator will
        a)      build and establish relationships with a variety of
professionals across the province who work with children between the ages of
0 - 6, and
        b)      liaise with both professionals and parents to gather
credible sources of information, identify information needs, and
        c)      assist in the development of the overall content framework.

This is a six-month contract position with remuneration equivalent to
$45,000 plus benefits.

We are seeking an individual with an undergraduate degree and / or
equivalent experience in the health promotion or early child development
field, excellent communication skills, facilitation skills, and resource
development experience.
