The MA and PhD Program in Health Policy and Equity at York University,
Toronto, Canada is accepting admission applications for September 2014
entry with a deadline fast approaching - January 15th, 2014.
The Health Policy and Equity Graduate Program takes an interdisciplinary
approach to examining the societal structures and processes that shapethe
health care system and the health of Canadians. Drawing heavily from the
social sciences, the purpose of the program is to train individuals in
critical inquiry who can move health equity forward through the public
policy agenda in Canada and elsewhere.
We welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds including health
studies, political science, policy studies, sociology, psychology, women?s
studies, international development, equity and law studies and other
related areas. You'll have the opportunity to become involved in
researching equity in health care delivery, the social determinants of
health, disability, mental health, long-term care, and pharmaceutical
policy as well as other related areas. Faculty members in this program
are well published experts in these fields and have established a
worldwide reputation for critical studies in health policy and equity.
There is no other program in Canada that takes the same focus. This
program is unique.
