Hello!

I am preparing background information on the prevalence and best practices
for dealing with childhood hunger in Calgary, Alberta.

I am posing a few questions for this health promotion network. Firstly,
are you aware of reports reflecting the level of hunger or food insecurity
in children or their families in Canadian communities. Along with the
general rates, is there socioeconomic data to indicate how big the problem
is for sub-groups such as single moms, new Canadians, social allowance
recipients, etc? If so, could you send information on how I might be able
to access the report/data.

Secondly, I am interested in learning about innovative programs and/or
advocacy strategies that address childhood hunger. Please send a brief
description of the program and type of food provided for the children.
Alternatively send contact name/phone #/Fax #/email address.

Thanking you in advance.
