Unless I am mistaken, and Susan, please let me know if I am, I think that
what Susan was looking for was an explanation of why the group is called
"Spirit of 1848",  rather than list subscription information (which is,
nevertheless, also helpful).

Speaking for myself, I'd like to know the significance of 1848 (since
history has never been my strong suite).
