The Roeher Institute is a leading policy-research and development
organization. Its mission is to generate knowledge, information and skills
to secure the inclusion, citizenship, human rights and equality of people
with intellectual and other disabilities.

The Institute is grounded in and responsive to the experiences of people
with intellectual disabilities and their families. Its research, analysis
and other activities are focussed on extending the social, economic and
other benefits of public and private sector policy/programs to people with
disabilities. Where existing policies are inadequate to secure full
citizenship, The Institute formulates new policy directions. A Canadian
perspective is at the forefront of The Institute's work. Relevance to an
international agenda on disability and human rights is also a priority.

Institute staff and consultants are committed to providing highly
knowledgeable, professional, timely, and cost-effective responses to those
seeking our services.
