FYI - an offer from the publishers of "City & Community" (journal of the Community and Urban Sociology Section
of the American Sociological Association) that may be of interest.

From the "Black Metropolis" (St. Clair Drake, Horace Cayton) and "The Truly Disadvantaged:
The Inner City, the Underclass, and Public Policy" (William Julius Wilson) to "American Apartheid: Segregation
and the Making of the Underclass" (Douglas Massey, Nancy Denton) and "Prismatic Metropolis: Inequality in Los Angeles"
(Lawrence Bobo), the work of community and urban sociologists continues to have great relevance
to understanding the social determinants of health, the societal foundations of health inequities and the
popular movements that seek redress and resolution of social injustices.
