The sad facts of Clara's family are that Clara and Ossip had a daughter,
born months after Clemens' death. Ossip died, I think in the 1930's and
Clara and daughter Nina moved to California. Clara remarried. Nina never
really found herself. Clara died in the early sixties, there was a fight
over Clara's estate and NIna died in a motel room a few years after her
mother.

To get a more complete story about this I recommend Caroline Thomas
Harnsberger's "Mark Twain's Clara or What Became of the Clemens Family"
published in Evanston, Ill, by the Press of W. Schore in 1982.
