I've been attempting to plot Mark Twain's train ride to and from St. 
Louis and New York in 1867.  He reports taking the same route in both 
directions, the return route described as an express.  I wonder about 
that as there are quite a few connections to be made between these two 
cities.  Here is the current results of my efforts:
