On the surface, it sounds like it would have been wonderful to be one of
Twain's children and hear the readings of what he had written each day. But
then one must remember that we often don't appreciate what our parents do,
because what they do is so "normal" to us. We don't find their work all that
remarkable. Often, it is only in adulthood that we realize their unique and
special qualities.
