Self-identified as a Mugwump.
I think he supported Cleveland, as a reformer.
Loathed TR.
Adored Grant, but as a General, I don't know that he spoke about Grant's
Presidency at all.
Loathed Congress
Kissed up to Speaker Cannon (1906-- the Copyright Act lobbying)
