I forgot to mention the most notable inclusion in LOM not composed for
the book: Ch 3 of LOM includes the Raftsmen's passage from HF.  Because
it had already appeared in LOM, Webster prevailed upon MT to leave it
out of HF.  The MT Project edition, published by University of
California 100 years later, restored the Raftsmen's passage to HF.
this passage would still be subject to the 1883 copyright date,
however, since it was until LOM an "unpublished chapter," as MT's own
designation of the material indicates.
