        Shortly before his death MT announced that he was going to
bequeath his skull to Cornell University, so that it might be examined by
scientist.  "I am getting pretty old." he explained, "and probably won't
need it after next Christmas."
        "But suppose you do need it?" he was asked.
        "In that event," he replied "I'll pay rent."
