In one of the latest Mark Twain Journals (Vol. 34, No. 2) dedicated to
"Mark Twain and Women" Jennifer Rafferty writes about the relationship
between Isabel Lyon and Mark Twain. According to Rafferty, "In January
of 1945, she [Lyon] served as a witness at a trial over Twain's
property -- one attended by Clara as well." (p. 53). What trial
or lawsuit in 1945 is Rafferty referring to? Or is it possible
the date is misprinted and the trial or lawsuit in question was one that
occurred somewhat later related to "A Murder, A Mystery and a Marriage"
manuscript?

Thanks,
Barb
