I am attempting some graduate research on Twain and his relationship with
the famous Oedipal complex. I'm not so much interested in if he read Freud
or heard of his work, but how the theory of parracide and guilt toward the
father is treated in Twain's work (Pudd'nhead Wilson specifically but not
only). In other words, does Twain's work in any way reflect the Oedipal
myth, like Hamlet Or the Brothers Karamasov did. Does anyone have any
leads? Thank you.
